It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. David B. Goldstein, emeritus board member and co-founder of the New Buildings Institute (NBI), on October 18th. David was key to NBI’s growth and evolution, serving as board president for 11 years, but his impact reaches far beyond our work. Throughout his 43-year career with the Natural Resources Defense Council, he was an unwavering advocate for energy efficiency and carbon reduction, impacting policies worldwide.

He was not just a mentor and friend to many in our field but also a thought leader whose absence will be felt deeply, both personally and professionally. As we mourn David's loss, we also celebrate his legacy. His vision of a more sustainable built environment continues to drive our work at NBI. We are committed to honoring his memory by furthering the mission he helped establish.

In this high-impact study, MultiOmyx™ technology was used to identify subpopulations of scar-associated macrophages (SAMacs), Kupffer cells, and tissue monocytes in MASLD tissue sample.

#NeoGenomics Laboratories is partnered with ImmunoGen, Inc. on a FOLR1 testing program to provide testing for folate receptor alpha (FRα), an actionable biomarker in ovarian cancer, to eligible patients.

This testing program was designed to help reduce barriers to IHC testing for novel biomarkers and aid oncologists in making informed treatment decisions for their ovarian cancer patients.

Testing for FRα expression is performed using the FDA-approved immunohistochemistry (IHC) companion diagnostic (CDx)—VENTANA FOLR1 (FOLR1-2.1) RxDx Assay. This CDx may indicate eligibility for treatment with the associated biomarker-driven therapy.

Bill T Ridgeway was a well-loved and known professor at EIU who was one of the first African-American faculty members in 1966. Students looked up to Ridgeway during his tenure and he was viewed as a mentor and role model amongst many of the African-American students on campus.
